Where black gunpowder on behalf of the Crown once filled the barrels, today something new is being formed and the barrels are given a completely different content. Behind the locked gates, a new era is bubbling, with rum production on a larger scale as its foundation. *
A visit to Stobirk is not just an experience — it is to step in and become part of an ongoing chapter in Swedish Roma history. You get a concrete insight into the production and its crucial moments — from raw material to finished distillate. In the distillery you will meet Akila - a respectable lady to say the least. The visit is rounded off in our spectacular visitor's room, where the focus shifts to what ends up in the glass — tastes, smells and how the raw material and production process leave their mark on the distillate. In connection with the visit there is the possibility of farm sales of bottlings that are only available on site.
Guided tour where you get an exclusive insight into the production process behind Europe's largest double retort pot still. During the visit, a tasting is included that deepens the understanding of the craft. Of course, we also offer exciting non-alcoholic options for those who wish.
As Krutbruket is an old military area, the locked gates still stand as a memory from that era. We will meet you and the others at the gate when the experience starts, so make sure to be there on time! If you are prevented, it is very important that you get in touch with us before the start of the experience, otherwise you will miss out on your opportunity to participate and believe us, it would be a loss, you do not want to miss this visit!
Time and setup
The visit gives an up-close insight into our craft and takes approximately 90 minutes. Since the tour involves some movement between different parts of the area, the total time may be slightly longer, and we therefore recommend that you set aside some extra time for your visit.
The show takes place around the distillery area and involves movement both inside and outside. Comfortable footwear and clothing according to the weather is highly recommended—the same seasons that help our rum mature slowly and elegantly can be slightly more brutal to walks. An umbrella can therefore be an unexpected but appreciated accessory. In short: our barrels love the weather, your shoes may not.
The experience is best suited for those who can get around the area without obstacles. Please contact us in advance if you want to adjust the conditions.

By public transport, you can easily reach Läggesta station by train and then by bus to Krutbruket. See Sörmlandstrafiken for more information.
For those who come by car, there is parking available up to the left of the gates.

For farm sales, the following statutory conditions apply:
• Purchases can only be made by guests who have participated in a visiting event at the distillery.
• Each guest may purchase a maximum of 0.7 litres of spirits at any one time.
• The buyer must be over 20 years of age. (At Stobirk's open events, we apply the 25-year limit)
• No goods may be opened in the premises.
Age Limit
Our open events have a 25 year limit* (the ID is the most important accessory for today's outfit and you show it on the spot) . *
Please note that 25 years is the minimum age for all visitors. Babies, children and other future rum fans are warmly welcomed after long storage outside the distillery area.

Gift Card
- Valid for 12 months from the date of issue — please inform the recipient so that the gift does not have time to be older than the rum.

Tunnornas innehåll är utbytt från svartkrut till rom, men du kommer fortfarande att uppleva historiens vingslag när du kliver in genom portarna.
