Åkers Krutbruk 1, 647 50 ÅKERS STYCKEBRUK
At Åkers Krutbruk, production has been going on since the time of Queen Kristina. Where black powder was once made on behalf of the Crown, today barrels are filled with something completely different. Behind the old gates, the craft continues — now with distillation, flavours and Swedish spirits production in focus, in our unique boiler Akila - Europe's largest double retort potstill.
During the visit, you will be accompanied into the distillery for an introduction to how we work and how our products are made. You get a first glimpse into raw materials, distillation and the craftsmanship behind the production, while staying among the equipment and the environment where everything takes place.
Distillery visit with a crash course in the production process at Sweden's largest pure rum distillery.
The experience includes a taste test, with the option to buy more on site.
After the screening there is the possibility of farm sales of limited editions in the Krutbruket series.
Some practical details before we move on to liquid form...
Ticket and Times
To accompany the visit to the distillery, you need a ticket — a pleasant mood goes a long way, but not quite all the way in.
If you realize to your horror that you missed buying it in advance, with a few minutes left to start, you can buy one from us, subject to availability.
Visits are carried out at the specified times.
Drop-in at other times unfortunately doesn't work — we like spontaneity, but the distillery visits require a bit of forethought.
As Krutbruket is an old military area, the locked gates still stand as a memory from that era. We will meet you and the others at the gate when the experience starts, so make sure to be there on time! If you are prevented, it is very important that you get in touch with us before the start of the experience, so that you do not miss your opportunity to participate.
Time and Layout
The visit gives a first glimpse into our craft and takes about 30-40 minutes. Since the tour involves some movement between different parts of the area, the total time may be slightly longer, and we therefore recommend that you set aside some extra time for your visit.
The show takes place around the distillery area and involves movement both inside and outside. Comfortable footwear and clothing according to the weather is highly recommended—the same seasons that help our rum mature slowly and elegantly can be slightly more brutal to walks. An umbrella can therefore be an unexpected but appreciated accessory. In short: our barrels love the weather changes, your shoes may not.
The experience is best suited for those who can get around the area without obstacles. Please contact us in advance if you want to adjust the conditions.

We can arrange custom events for larger groups, such as companies or friend groups. Leave us your details and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
